For the Love of Cleveland, Join us #InTheSquare!

This week we launched For the Love of Cleveland, a series of free lunchtime forums at Cleveland Public Square that we’re presenting in partnership with The City Club of Cleveland. For the Love of Cleveland will delve into the issues facing Cleveland neighborhoods, encouraging residents from all backgrounds to engage in discussions about the past, present and future of our community.

The series kicked off June 13 with a forum focused on population and demographic trends in Goodrich-Kirtland Park and Hough. Lillian Kuri, our Vice President, Strategic Grantmaking, Arts & Urban Design Initiatives, was among the panelists talking about thoughtful and inclusive development in these Cleveland neighborhoods.

Join us at Public Square beginning at noon on June 20 for the next For the Love of Cleveland forum, which will explore reinvestment and opportunity from the perspective of the Clark-Fulton and Fairfax neighborhoods.

For the Love of Cleveland forums take place in Public Square beginning at noon on Tuesdays throughout June and July. In addition to thought-provoking panel discussions, attendees can enjoy lunch from local food trucks and lawn games on the green. Learn more about each forum:

June 13 – The Evolution of a City: From White Flight to the Fifth Migration – Goodrich-Kirtland Park and Hough
June 20 – Reinvestment and Opportunity – Clark-Fulton and Fairfax
June 27 – Too Many Houses, Not Enough Homes – Slavic Village and Kinsman
July 11 – The Geography of Gentrification – Glenville and SoLo
July 18 – It Takes a Neighborhood -Lee-Harvard and Detroit-Shoreway
July 25 – The Challenges of Success – Ohio City and Downtown

The series will culminate with our Common Ground event on Sunday, July 30, where hundreds of Greater Clevelanders will gather in Public Square and at sites throughout Cuyahoga County to share a meal and a meaningful conversation with fellow Greater Clevelanders.
