We’re showing our love for Cleveland with free skating at Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink on Cleveland Public Square from 3 – 11 p.m. on February 14! Through our Valentine’s Day gift to the community, skaters will enjoy free skate rentals and a free 45-minute session on the ice, weather permitting.

First, check the weather to make sure the rink will be open! Then, make a plan to get your tickets. Tickets for the free skate are required and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis at Public Square beginning at noon on Feb. 14; no more than 150 tickets will be distributed per time slot.

In November 2016, the Cleveland Foundation announced a $100,000 grant to support ongoing community programming on Cleveland Foundation Centennial Plaza in Cleveland Public Square. The grant to the Group Plan Commission continued the foundation’s support for the Square, including $8 million for the transformation of Public Square and the creation of Cleveland Foundation Centennial Plaza. That same month, on Nov. 26, the foundation presented a free day of ice skating on Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink to coincide with the return of Winterfest in Public Square. More than 1,900 ice skaters took advantage of the free opportunity to enjoy the official opening of the skating rink.
This Valentine’s Day, we hope you’ll join us on the ice! If you can’t make it Feb. 14, or want to skate again, the Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink will remain open for the season until Feb. 28, 2017, with skating available for $10 per skater, which includes skate rental.
