What better way to ring in the New Year than to rally your friends and family, and join fellow Greater Clevelanders for ice skating in Cleveland Public Square? This year, we invite you to do just that – for FREE! We’re thrilled to present another free skate event at the Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Join us on the ice between noon and 10 p.m. on December 31 and enjoy free skate rental and 45 minutes of free skating time.
What to know before you go
To take advantage of this offer, stop by the skating kiosk in Public Square beginning at 10 a.m. on December 31 to pick up free passes. Passes will be distributed for each 45 minute session chronologically until they run out. Those with passes will be required to check-in at the Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink 15 minutes before the start of their session to receive skates and prepare to enjoy the ice! A maximum of 6 passes per individual will be distributed.
Our gift to you
The New Year’s Eve free skate is the third we’ve hosted this year, and will support 1,500 free skaters during the 10-hour window. We offered a free skate for Valentine’s Day last season, and celebrated the opening of the Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink this season with a day of free skating during Winterfest in November. These free skate events build on our history of support for accessible community programming on Cleveland Public Square.
Now, let’s lace up and glide into 2018 with a fun-filled day on the ice! Get all the details here.
