2016 is a big year for Cleveland. With the Republican National Convention coming to town in July, our city is in the spotlight. Every day, individuals and organizations in Greater Cleveland are working to improve our community for the future and we want their stories to take center stage.
With that goal in mind, we’re partnering with The City Club of Cleveland, Cleveland Young Professional Senate, Crain’s Cleveland Business, ideastream and Neighborhood Connections to launch the Greater Cleveland Caucus Series, a year-long series of events that foster community engagement among Greater Cleveland residents.
At Greater Cleveland Caucus Series events, attendees will be able to connect directly with organizations doing game-changing work in Greater Cleveland and participate in the process of improving our region.
We’re kicking off the series on Saturday, March 12 with the Greater Cleveland Caucus: A Town Hall Meeting on Community Solutions. This event will convene a broad group of Greater Clevelanders to discuss key issues impacting our region, brainstorm community priorities, and connect with organizations working to address these community challenges. Attendees will hear local leaders deliver thought-provoking talks on eight caucus topic areas including Education + Youth Development, Environment, Health, Housing + Neighborhoods, Inclusion: Population + Demographics, Jobs + Economy, Safety, and Transportation + Infrastructure. Following the talks, attendees will discuss and vote on community priorities in the caucus topic areas.
Join us March 12 and throughout the year as we caucus for the future of our community. Follow the Caucus series and register to attend events here.
I will be there on behalf of both the Alive Inside Foundation & my One Heartbeat ROCKS ( Reaching Our Children with Kindness and Sensitivity ) Initiative.
