Each year nonprofit organizations around Ohio dedicate limited resources to providing valuable programs and services in their communities. The Ohio Nonprofit Excellence Award recognizes the creativity, execution, achievement, and overall excellence of a specific project or program completed by an Ohio nonprofit in 2008.
There are a total of six awards and they are open to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Ohio. To apply, organizations must complete an application. (Application must be postmarked by Feb. 20, 2009.)
A selection committee determines the finalists and winners. The groups will be recognized at a luncheon in their honor on May 12, 2009 at the Ohio Statehouse. Winners will be announced at the luncheon and will receive an award and stipend to help further their program/service.
